WHC had a big one today-------------- 7.44 miles
Start-- Collins Road, Truro, MA 02666
Dan, Kevin, Curtis, Elspeth, Jelly, Ethan, and new member Kurt Brencher. With the Humans went the Dogs as well, Barkley, Fisher, Kona, and new dog member Oscar De La Hoya. We start on the fire road to the Cliff aka Lookout Point. Instead of going straight to the cliff, we took a left on some single track, a new route that meandered to a steep downhill leading us to Brush Hollow near Ballston Beach. We took to the beach like a gang, I believe we startled some beachcomber's and there inferior posse of humans and small yipping and horny dogs. We chose to continue almost all the way to Newcomb Hollow Beach, taking a path that led us to Horseleech Pond. The ever adventerous crew, mis-led by Kevin, took to some private property and thought we could hook into another trail that Kevin previously had seen on another WHC hike. However, Kevin was wrong, and Jelly took the reins, like a spirited warrior leading us through brush and thicket. And Poof, did Jelly deliver. We continued on another single track, linking to more single track that we had never been on. Thus leading us back to our destination of the starting point. A great hike was had, with new member's and a thrilling outcome was preserved. All the while only one question arises deep in the woods, as Jelly wondered, " Ya Mon, are we going in circles or what" Trust the leaders, Jelly
